A Second-Skin Sensor to Track UV

L’Oréal’s first UV sensor, My UV Patch by La Roche-Posay, is a flexible, lightweight wearable that uses photo-sensitive dyes to track UV exposure. It can be worn for five days and during that time, every few hours, the patch’s companion app will prompt the user to scan the patch to get an update on their UV exposure. The app also offers recommendations on what lifestyle changes users can make as well as what L’Oréal products they can purchase that will help them protect their skin.
